What did you think was the hardest topic in A&P?

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Right now I am at the tail end of an accelerated A&P I class. So far, the whole class has been manageable even though at times I thought it wouldn't be, it all turned out fine. Each time it was hard, it turned out that something even more challenging was around the corner! Right now we are studying the control and regulation of the nervous system, brain and cranial nerves, sensory pathways, somatic nervous system, and ANS, and finally special senses. Honestly, this is hard for me and harder than anything I have studied so far.

In biology, I thought cell respiration and photosynthesis was hard - turns out that was nothin!!!

So, I thought I would enjoy A&P II more, but now I am feeling anxious about it - because so far the class has gotten progressively more challenging! I was thinking of reading my text book over the summer in hopes of making it somewhat easier by the fall.

I do think it would help to look over the material over the summer. Do stress yourself out though. also, what I found is that you build on a lot of the knowledge you acquire in a&p 1. So everything you've learned about ATP carries on... Just to give an example. In a&p 2 I found that the respiratory and digestive systems were hardest for me. When studying for my cumulative final I remembered how in depth the endocrine system was too. Hormones are another thing that continues through when you learn about a lot of other body systems as well. Good luck! I hate to say... I found a&p 1 easier than the 2nd.

That's what I was a afraid to hear! I guess I will be reading my text a little bit over the summer! I just found a study guide though with a lot of concept maps that I hope will help!!!

I thought the cardiovascular system was hard. In my class we had three exams on it: blood, heart & blood vessels (technically circulatory). It was just so much info right at the beginning after winter break that I don't think my class was prepared for it. The cardiovascular system is just a little boring to me as well.

I actually hated tissues the most. For every other system, I at least had a basic knowledge to build off of.

I actually found A&P 2 easier. I took the same professor which definitely helped. I found that looking up videos on youtube for practicals and for topics in lecture that I didn't quite understand was extremely helpful to me too. Just make sure you stick with the reputable ones not the ones with 2 views. ;) Best of luck to you!
