Thanks so much for posting this. I've saved the links so I have something to do when I can't sleep. It's a valuable refresher for all of us.

Anyone else find the smug attitude gets old after a while? "You're students in U-Cal Berkeley. That means you're smart. Very smart. And everyone in this room is just as smart or smarter than you are." :icon_roll

Just to clear up any misconceptions, I do not attend this school. I attend a technical college. With that said, I am not familiar with the students attitudes regarding it, yet in 2007, US News and World Report lists UC Berkeley as #21.

Each school has its pros and cons. I do believe great things come from that school. However, that can be said about many schools. :nuke:

I really wonder what those reports mean and how accurate they are. I had read on another post that some smaller/private schools refuse to participate in them.

While UCB was #21 in that report, it was #1 in the US News and World Report for "Top Public National Universities" for the same year. huh?

I guess I find it strange that the same school can be ranked so differently by the same reporting organization. I think that goes to show that those reports don't hold very much weight to individuals unless you absolutely understand all components of it and know why you are choosing the school. :nuke:

You are correct. Berkeley is the top public university. (according to the report)

The link I gave was for the top overall. Both public and private.

It may be true that it's a top ranked school, and it may very well also be true that students at Cal Berkeley are brighter than the average college student. I just don't see the point of the professors reemphasizing it at every opportunity.

Anyway I'm not a student at UCal Berkeley and I was well able to follow the lectures.

Agreed. Pride in your school is good, as long as you stay away from bragging. There is a line there somewhere. :)

Just wanted to say thanks EJM for those links to the lectures especially the A & P ones ,ime a student nurse at university over the pond here in the UK and found this very helpfull .Cheers kev.

Is anyone else having problems watching these? I tried and pretty much only got audio with the video only showing frames spread out 1 every minute.

I have DSL. Anyone know what could be the problem?

Ime on cable and ive had nor probs as yet ,i watched the whole broadcast the other day.I would try another live feed and see if thats the same that would answer the question.Good luck.:o)

Wow! These links are great!

Thank you so much for posting this!! I can get a head start on A&P II over the summer :)

They really helped me out for Anatomy last semester. Only thing, it is mostly the anatomy side rather than physiology. Still, she is very thorough, and I like the way she teaches.
