Tomorrow is the BIG day!!

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Tomorrow at 9am I take the NLN. At this point, I just can't wait to get it over with. I'm tired of stressing--I'm going to take another practice test and go over the ones I haven't done so well on. Plus I'll be looking up ohms and electricty stuff since I heard that popped up on the test.

Do any of the practice questions just happen to pop back up on the real test??? Ahhh, probably not but a girl can wish.

Speaking of wishing...wish me luck! No wait, wish me peace so I won't be stressed during the test. I'll be praying my way through it!:saint:

Wow....let's hope the ones I utterly guessed on and got wrong are the ones they leave out! Ha! Thanks for the reply I feel some relief now.

As soon as my results are back...I'll let you know!

Specializes in OR Internship starting in Jan!!.

*fingers crossed*

Glad it is over for you. I hope you did well!

Specializes in CNA, RN Student.

Mine is less than a week away. Hey for you guys who took it. Did you find the science part hard or easy and either way have you taken your science prereq's yet? I am just starting A&P II, have taken A&P I and Micro and the first general biology that is a prereq for them. I am going through the science questions in the book and they are pretty reasonable to me. I have been scoring well on them from the book and simply because the information is all stuff that I learned from my classes. Are the people that are having problems with it those who have yet to take the prereqs or am I completely missing something?

Hey there. I took mine this past Saturday too. Overall, I think it was good. The had a couple that threw me for a loop. Reading Comp. was a cinch, the math, well I ran out of time with 4 left, so I just filled i the A's. Science wasn't bad at all. If you know your study guide, the rest that is on there is pretty much common sense. What to do if you spill a hazardous material on your skin, Etc. I haven't had any of the science pre-req's, and have been out of High School for 12 years, so another words, no science for me for that last 14 years. I learned that study guide inside and out. I would venture to say if you have had those science classes, study your review guide, refresh your math skills (basic ones) and you are a competant reader, you will be fine. I hope I am this optomistic after I get my results back, I have to be in the top 15% to get in this year. If not, I have to wait until fall of 2008,:o . I don't think I can stand working for my current employer that much longer. Prayers for me too please, and good luck to you.

I have to get into the 99th percentile. My one school is apparently insane. lol They fill 40 seats out fo approx. 750 applicants. I do think I will pass it, but I am not feeling confident about the 99th percentile part.

I haven't been to school for years so I really needed to study the book. I even bought a few extra books to help me refresh and learn. I am most nervous about the reading and science especially the physics as I know that least.

I take mine before 3/2 but my date hasn't been announced as of yet. I also need to take the NET for another school probably in the Spring. I am less nervous about that one.

Congrats on being done with it!! And besy of luck to all of you that still need to take it.

They must give different tests because for me and my friends that took it, the science was really hard. I've had A&P I, I'm in II now and micro now too. There was stuff on there about OHMS, Newtons, thermodynamics...stuff I had never had, and stuff that the study guide didn't go deep into--The graphs that you had to read in the science were simple. Math is easy. I had A LOT of fractions, percents, ratios...a few system of equations no geometry. Reading comprehension was easy!

Hope it helps....I'll pray for you and keep praying for my results.

I think they did give out different tests. At our location, there were 3 different ones, "a" "b" and "c", that way no one had the same test as someone who was close to them. My test had nothing about ohms, or thermodynamics, it did have a lot of geometry though. They must do this on purpose so we don't know what to study for! Cheaters!!
