Summer Microbiology Online Course at OCC

I thought at EDUKAN there was a proctor for the final? Those that have taken the class at EDUKAN, how is the final?? Difficult, not as bad as you thought?

they started something new called bio sig...verifies your identity ...no need for a proctor.

I got an A in the class, final wasnt bad. The hardest part is the lab and getting it right..they get harder as the course progresses.

I did Edukan Microbiology final last week.The exam is proctored. Had a terrific prof. Got a straight A but be prepared to put in a lot of time.

you had a proctor???? I didnt. I took my exam at my house. My instructor was walker...

But how was the final? Hard? Did you get a study guide? Did you have quizzes in the class? If so..was the final like a combo of all the quizzes?

Yes the final is like your quizzes. each week you have 2 quizzes a review quiz and a chapter quiz. Use them as a study guide.

Yep, took my final last week. There is a time limit on the final so you have to know your stuff but its easy to do well in the class if you put forth the effort.

I think they wanted 170 or so..I got it for around 50 renting it from campusbookrentals.

Attention to all of those who think that Edukan was great, most nursing schools will not transfer these credits because it has virtual labs and nursing schools want the hands-on. I took the online Micro course at Ocean County College and loved it...I got an A...there is a hands-on laboratory with microscope with no trouble transferring it. Contact your nusring school to see which online course they will accept or you will waste good time and $$$

not true.

My online lab has been accepted by two universities so far, and 1 CC.

when these courses transfer they do not say EDUKAN..or ONLINE...they transfer with the normal microbiology or ap course number and description used by the school you chose as your "home base"

so MINE will say BI280 Microbiology 5 credits and it will list my school as Pratt.

Ive already looked and these course numbers are accepted by all of the schools in my area (thru the transfer list provided by most schools)...and I even told two universities that they were an online lab component..and it didnt phase them.

had to show the course syllabus from the proffessor in order to have it transferred. when they saw the labs, it was accepted. I'm just saying find out first before you waste your $$ and time. OCC labs were hands-on and I learned a great deal. I'm glad that I took it this way. i can't afford to waste $$ or time. really nice teach

Why don't the courses say EduKan? That is weird. My courses said the school name.
