I am wondering if anyone knows of any online Anatomy & Physiology courses that include a lab?? IF SO, what kind of lab? Do you have to do dissections in your home? Did you have to have the tests proctored? I was hoping to find a school in Illinois or Wisconsin, but anywhere is great! Thank you!

IUEast has a great online program, they are anatomy and physiology separate, but I took physiology so far and got an A. retaking anatomy through that program to get an A! both are 5 credits which includes a lab!

p.s. these classes are easy! as far as A&P go, I would HIGHLY suggest them!

What about EduKan? You choose a Kansas community college to be 'under' so to speak and complete the online class VIA their online portal - EduKan. I'm taking 4 classes (including micro) through EduKan/Colby Community College this semester.

does anyone have other experiences with edukan, i am to understand there are 6 colleges and garden city and pratt and seward are the less strenuous. I need to to the a/p I I, micro, chem all with lab. Any other online suggestions would be appreciated...

I took all my science classes online at NMJC.edu and it was cheaper and it transferred to Tidwaterwater community college, Thomas Nelson Community College, Norfolk State University, Sentara Nursing School and Riverside School of Nursing Hospital. Human Anatomy I&II, and MIcrobiology.

I am looking for an online A&P II/lab class with online test and online labs, starting ASAP. I live in Japan so mailing stuff here is not 100% and I would hate the headache of a mix up in the mail with a animal to dissect...I'm currently taking A&P I/lab through a decent school, but they aren't offering A&P II next term.

Colorado Community College offers it. I took A&P 2 through them since the in-person one didn't work out with my work schedule. They send you a kit that includes dissection materials. And yes, that included a full fetal pig. The kit also included full color illustrations of the dissections along with online tools, so you could not dissect and be fine if you wanted. The tests/homework was all online and the lab had separate tests and many lab reports.

Expensive as heck but convenient.

I know it is more expensive than doing it in person, but exactly how much more? And how much for the lab kit? I am a Colorado resident, so that is why I started looking into CCConline.

I did A&P online with the lab on campus. It was a grind, start to finish. I did manage an "A", but I worked my buns off to get it.

I hate to be rude but I don't think taking classes like a&p online is a good idea. It is a mandatory pre req for a reason. I have a feeling the people that take these types of classes online are the same ones that post the "I failed the NCLEX (insert amount of times here)" also. It's just not a wise thing to do...

I feel that it depends entirely on the individual student and their drive/ability to learn in such an environment. The decision should not be taken lightly, and it should not be viewed as an "easy" way to achieve credits, because it's not. But there is a reason that so many (not all, but many) online A&P and Micro courses are accepted these days. While it is certainly not for all, it is ideal for some. For example, I had enough of a foundation in human body science that online A&P w/ lab was great for me. Would it have been great otherwise? I'm not sure.

That said, make sure that the courses are quality and not crud. Ask around. Just my humble advice.

My online class was supported by a Lab on campus. The McGraw Hill curriculum was VERY THOROUGH. I can't speak for every online class, but when I showed up to take my proctored midterm and finals, I sat in a room full of students who took A&P both in the class room and online. I got an "A", so did "some" of the students who took the class on campus. However, there were plenty of online and on campus students who didn't make "A"s. The midterm and finals were 100 questions each. You couldn't fake your way through it, you either studied and knew the material or you didn't.
