Nursing Support Group???

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

I was just wondering if any other students would be interested in starting some type of online nursing support group where we could keep in touch with one another on a regular basis to see how we are all doing to support one another. Just let me know if you are interested or have any ideas!

I just getting started. So I need the support and possibly offer a little of my own.

The name reminds me to stay focused. Thanks!

Great! I happy you guys are interested. Nursing school stress is definitely beginning. I just finished another full of multiple tests, and feel like all I do these days is endless studying. How do you guys want to keep in touch? I don't mind keep on adding onto this discussion or if you guys have any other ideas.

I am very interested in being a support group! I wish I had this a couple of weeks ago....I took a hard hit and failed an entrance exam. I did it for exposure and to get an inside look on it for when I take the one that matters in March. Stressed to see if ill make the cut. Fingers crossed. Where is everyone else at in their journey?

Great another person! I'm sorry to hear about your failing your entrance exam but at least you have a general idea of what to expect when you take it in March. Hoping you pass with flying colors! I'm in my second year of a four year nursing program, so I'm still considered a pre-nursing student since I don't take all nursing classes yet. But next fall I will officially be in the nursing program, since all my classes will be nursing and I will have clinicals. How about you guys? What classes are you guys in now?

Just getting started? Fun, scary, inspiring and about a hundred other emotions I can remember feeling.

Glad we're all on board here.

Does it matter what program youre in? I start a LVN program in june. I have two smaller kids, so im choosing to babystep up to a BSN. But RNs might have different milestones than LVNS or is this support in general. Sorry i made it complicated. I think its a great idea though and im on board if its nuraing in general :)

Have faith and look at the positive, you now have a better idea of how to best prepare. When I took my entrance exams for my current program, my scores were not competitive enough. I missed that semester and studied like crazy. Took again (you get two tries at my school) and ended up scoring in the 90's instead of 80's. During the time of waiting, I finished my last science pre-req which enabled me to take a lighter load when I started the nursing program.

Stay positive and you'll pass the next one :^)

Hi All,

The question to where we are at in our programs:

I am in my second year of an ASN program. I spent the year after my Practical Nursing graduation to complete all pre-reqs for a BSN program so I transferred courses over needing only nursing courses. The BSN program had a much longer wait.

At this point in my program, I am beyond stressed out. The insomnia is what gets me on all nurses so late at night. Haha!
