Need suggestions from anybody...

Nursing will still be that in-demand? I'm expecting to graduate on 2008. I really don't know if there would be a Nursing shortage on the coming years. Hope to hear from anyone of you. Thanks. I'm confused....

Hi everyone! I'm a new member, though i've been visiting this site since last year. I joined because I wanted to hear some advice or any suggestions whether to pursue my Nursing course or not. (My first course is BS Computer Science) I'm a mother of a 6 year old girl, married and currently taking my second course BSN. Do you think that after 3 to 4 years from now, Nursing will still be that in-demand? I'm expecting to graduate on 2008. I really don't know if there would be a Nursing shortage on the coming years. Hi- Nursing will always be in demand. One reason is that the population is aging and people are living longer and longer, so there will always be more people who need medical care. I am marrie dwith 3 children and a BS in Health Education. I used to be a middle school teacher. I will be begining nursing school in January of 2006 part time, so I will not graduate until december of 2008. I am not at all worried that there will ot be a demand for nursing at that time. Go for it!

Good luck on your decision! Nursing has so many opportunties and offers great job security, there will always be a hospital somewhere!! Welcome to the boards:)
