Microbio, Pathophysio + Pharmacology classes together?

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think that course load is WAY too heavy. I am guessing that your Micro will also have a lab, right? I heard Micro is crazy hard, so is patho, and pharm! Unless you are single, live with parents and do not have to work, then, maybe, you will be fine. Other than that, do yourself a favor, do not run yourself into the grave. Take your time with these: you need awesome grades, so slower, is better in my opinion.

That is a very difficult course load. I would only do this if you are a full-time student and do not have to work. Good luck.

Thank you for all your input! I can hold off on Pharmacology, but that would likely defer my application submission... but the extra time may work out so that I am a more well-rounded applicant as I can volunteer/gain CNA experience during that time.

I have done Micro and A&P I and II on Summer A & B terms while teaching middle school summer school and taking care of two kids on my own, a combination which horrified my advisors. But I did well and did not feel overwhelmed. (Pharma was offered once I was in the Nursing program.)

So I would not be the type of person to discourage you from what seems to be daunting undertakings to most people. Like you, I took on as many courses as I was allowed to because I wanted to start nursing core courses as soon as I could.

I would say it depends on you--your capacity to learn and retain, your coping mechanisms, among many other factors that only you can determine. Best of luck! I hope you do manage to square away your pre-reqs in the quickest time possible.

I fully believe that every person is different when it comes to one's ability to handle certain course loads. A friend of mine is a Pre-Med/Biomedical Sciences student and took Ochem II, Physics II, Immunology, Microbiology, and Calculus in addition to working in a research lab last semester. And he maintained a 4.0. I have other friends who can't handle more than 1 lab science in a semester without working. It really all depends on how academically inclined you are and how you learn tbh. You know yourself better than anybody! Personally, I would happily take all 3 of those courses in a semester. But that's just me. :)
