Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

I can't take it. I just can't take it anymore.

I check these forums everyday hoping to find someone an alum or applicant from the SFSU Nursing program. I Google all possible phrases similar to "SFSU Nursing students" to try and find someone who is in or has graduated from the program.

I found a website from the first graduating class at the Canada program (SFSU has a satellite program that people with a BA/BS can apply to - the main campus doesn’t take 2nd bach, so this program allows people to apply and earn their BSN from SFSU though classes are held at a community college in Redwood City called Canada College) and I just find myself being INSANELY jealous of them.:angryfire

I PRAY (mind you, I’m not religious) that I get in and waiting until the last week of this month or early April is EATING AT MY SOUL. :crying2:

Am I nuts? Nevermind. Don't answer that....I know the answer already, I'm just in denial. :trout:

I'm sure I will feel and sound exactly like you next semester. Hang in there! You will be fine (regardless of what happens). I know it doesn't feel that way though.

Lol ....I'm having issues with this also. I want to get into this school more than anything and have also googled all sorts of combinations haha.

I do the exact same thing!!!! Im on allnurses every second of the day even at work, i keep refreshing hoping a new thread will pop up with someone asking about my school, or hopeing someone would respond to the threads asking if any other applicants are out there.

I found a thread from last years applicants who got in, and I OBSESS over that, reading every word, looking at the dates they got their interview calls, looking at when they said they got their NLN exam dates and then counting up to when they got their interview calls. I even found this one girl who is a current student that has pics of herself in the uniform and i just STARE at it, hoping i would some how maracuously appear in the pic with the uniform. You think your nuts welcome to my insanity.

I can't sleep at night, my apartment is a complete mess, i am currently living like a slob and i NEVER do this. I managed to roll out of bed long enough to make food and clean my kitchen and then roll back into bed, to which i have my laptop on my bed trying to find just SOMETHING, ANYTHING new. Im going insane, by the time this is all over my mother will have to commit me i swear!!! I even sleep with the freaking computer on my bed!!!

To make matters worse, i called the school this morning asking about the status of my application, to which the lady told me that the admin committee was reviewing it. I almost had a freaking heart attack.

Nope, you don't sound nuts to me. You sound passionate! It's friggen hard to get into nursing school now. If you've worked hard to become a stellar applicant, then you want to be rewarded right away! No one wants to put their dream on hold for over a year or whatever.

So, yeah. I hear ya!

I am now in Nursing School, but felt the same way when I was applying. I was put on the alternate list the first time & it broke my heart ... but the next semester I got in! Makes you feel crazy, obsessive, discouraged, etc. Just keep looking to the future, it'll get here! Good luck!

Mystiqx - The visuals you give are hilarious! I love your posts. I don't know why, but I keep picturing you looking like Lori from the Real World: Back to New York. Don't ask me why. I think because of her personality (fun) it makes it that much funnier for me.

Yeah in hind sight its pretty funny. I just want to be able to sleep. I have nightmares, I had one last night that didn't make no damn sense either.

I keep staring at my cell phone willing it to ring ( i have to get an admissions/apceptance interview)

Oh oh, and everyone hates their mailman, i hate T-Mobile, I'm hot to go call em up and ask them if they have the wires pluged in right, you know the school's phone too my darn cell phone...see nuts = me!!!
