Some of you might remember, a few months ago I decided instead of pursuing nursing I decided to go into Clinical Laboratory Science (also known as Medical Technology) instead. I was encouraged to continue to visit this forum since I'm still taking similar prereqs.
I applied to a BS program in November.
I had my interview in late December and I walked out of there certain I wasn't going to get in. I got a call today - I'M IN! :balloons: I start in September '05 and will graduate December '06!
This is me - doing the happy dance!

It's the only one of its kind in my state, and they take approx. 26 students per year. The program is 12 months of full-time (and they mean full-time! 8:30-5:00 Mon-Fri plus homework and studying ) coursework, followed by 4 months' externship at a hospital laboratory, doing clinical rotations in Pathology, Hematology, etc. There's a big long list of prerequisites, and I have completed most of them, with a few remaining chemistry classes and an immunology class yet to take.I had my interview in late December and I walked out of there certain I wasn't going to get in.
