I did not STALK ANYONE!

I did not stalk the mail-man. Six months ago I went to the mailbox every single day for a month and there was no letter. By the time I received a letter, I was told I was not selected for the class that begins August 2006. Plus I would be "re-evaluated" with 100 other qualified applicants in the Fall for the class that begins January of 2007 (only 40 spots available, 30 of which go to the re-evaluated people). :stone

This morning I went to the mailbox to pick up the mail. It was collecting in my box for a week or two (I honestly forget)! To my surprise my letter was also in the box with a postmark of last week. :smackingf

My letter is also thin like the last time. :uhoh21: So I slowly opened it and read....

"Congratulations! I am pleased to inform you that you have been selected .........." This means I AM A STUDENT NURSE!!! :monkeydance:

Unbelievable!!!! I am so excited!!! :barf02: :biggringi :balloons:

Good luck to EVERYONE!!! If you do not get in this time, DO NOT give up!!!

GREAT NEWS!!!

I'm glad you didn't stalk the mailman.

I usually just stand by the mailbox with my arms crossed and tap my foot. Then I stare at my watch and shake my head when the mailman arrives.

You're funny! Thanks! :wink2:

Congrats! I think stalking the mailmen in these situations should be considered legally justified! :wink2:

Thank you. Yes, I agree... I think this wait was worse then getting accepted into college right out of high school because I at least knew someone would take me! Thank you! :wink2:

Thank you!! :wink2:

I am checking the mailbox every single day since the Month began. I still don't have anything in the mail. I have been disappointed every single time but I hope I hear something soon before I lose my mind.

As far as waiting lists, they told me some years there is are a bunch of applicants, and some years there arent. Maybe this will be an arent year. I would sooooo like to get in. :monkeydance:

Thank you!! You will do fine too! Keep up the good work! It is all about maxing out points if you attend a school without wait lists! :wink2:

If I don't get something soon, I am going to start stalking the poor mailman instead of just listening for him through my open windows. LOL! I heard through the rumor mill today that it may be 3-4 more weeks (it was originally mid October, now perhaps as long as mid Novemeber) ERGHHHHH! Best wishes to those still waiting and congrats to those who have already gotten The Letter!

Yep, been there the first time. Relax. The letter will get there whether you go to the mailbox or not (see my first post to this thread). Good luck. :wink2:

Yep. It is all about the group you are up against. Two years ago I would not have been rejected because almost everyone who applied received acceptance (my school got less then 120 applicants for 120 spots). Now that is not the case (Much more then 120 apply for 80 spots/year).

I am glad to hear you are paying attention to that... not many people notice the competition and just blindly wonder along in the hopes of being competitive. Good luck to you. :wink2:

Ahh, yes, the rumor mill!! I listened intently my first Semester waiting but none of the rumors were every correct. The rumors make the wait worse. This semester I refused to listen to anyone about when we would receive our letters. In fact, I assumed it would be in November and decided to put the matter out of my mind. Fortunately, I am taking courses on-line so I did not run into very many students who were waiting with me this semester. :wink2:

Well, I know a lot of mine will be points also. I am looking for a job and hoping to get one, because I will need that refrerence to get in. It has been over a year since I worked last. The problem is, I am needing something in health care and only on weekends, so I might have to look for a while. I am even going to go to a hospital in another town if I dont find one soon. :(
