How much is everyone paying for books this upcoming semester?

For two classes, my nursing fundamentals class and my A&P II class, it's going to cost me about $520! 7 books total for two classes!!!

The bookstore on my campus is the only bookstore around that would even sell academic books, so I think a lot of people are going to have to go online, including me.

 I always order my books online, way cheaper. Then i go back to my campus bookstore during finals week and sell them back, sometimes I even get more than I spent. Just be careful when ordering books online because you can't sell the teacher ed, international ed, etc. back to your school bookstore. Sometimes you can get the international paperback edition for way less than the hardcover US edition but you can only resale it online. They have same content but I prefer to sell mine back on campus.

We rent our textbooks so I only have to pay for lab manuals and study guides that aren't required. I will be spending under $100.

Lucky you!! I wish...... textbooks are so insanely expensive. Athough I have made some money reselling them so it's not too bad. I can't believe there are actually people who pay full price for their books. Crazy!!

$1,300!? That's pretty amazing.. In a depressing way. That's a lot of money to be spending on books that probably only cost about $5 to make.

I do get a $300 dollar voucher though since my dad works at the college I'll be attending, so that's good for me. I think I'm going to go online, buy some books, then use the $300 to buy the rest. Hopefully I won't have to spend much more than $100 out of pocket. I guess I can't really complain.

About $650. Some of those books will be used next semester as well, such as lab and drug refs.

All of our Mosby books also have full versions on CD, with search and cross references, highlight and note taking ability. I have loaded all the CDs on my desktop and laptop. I'll read the assignments at home with the hard copy (I find extensive reading on a computer screen annoying), but take the laptop to class.

I cannot believe that. I bought a Nutrition book today for 70.00. I already have A&P, but I think I came out REALLY good. those books some of you bought cost almost as much as nursing school itself.

Mine would reach the $500 mark. This sucks.
