Depends on the school, but in my experience it ranges from 5-10 years. You should check with the programs where you think you might end up applying.

Totally depends on the school, like Eric said. I've found that *usually* Anatomy and Physiology (if required) must be within 5 years.

out of the programs in the great state of texas, they require science corework to be completed no more than 5 years ago. its pretty standard everywhere else but it can vary. your best bet it to check with the specific college or university transfer admissions office to see the requirements.

Definitely depends on the school. I was really worried since I got my first degree from 1993-1998. However, the nursing school I am applied to said they would take all my prior science credits.

There was one I looked at that had a policy that your 2 semesters of regular Biology were only good for 5 years, unless you had AP I and II within the last 5 years....so if you had the AP, they didn't make you retake the Bio.

    THAT is a reasonable school

At my school, it doesn't matter how long ago you took the courses. Big sigh of relief from me, since I took a few of my science classes almost 10 years ago!

thanks everyone. I called one of the schools on my list yesterday and it was 5 years. The lady that answered the phone was somewhat rude and hasty. I plan on calling back tommorrow to see if someone else answers the phone.

I'm very familiar with this attitude. LOL!
