How are your Spring '05 classes so far?

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Well that wonderful, long Christmas and New Year's break has come to an end and I'm about to wrap up my first week back.

In a few words my week has been intense but undoubtedly doable. I am enjoying them even though it's a lot of work.

How has it been for you?

Great!! I love my instructors for Physiology and Microbiology and think this is going to be a great semester. :):) :)

I had my Phys instructor for Anatomy last semester. She is a wonderful teacher and I learned so very much. My new micro prof seems to be quite approachable and likable personality too. I know the subjects require a lot of vigorous studying, but I enjoy that aspect so should not be a problem.

I hope everyone has a great semester!:) :) :)

I'm taking two chemistry classes and they are both tons of work. I spend hours on homework each night. It's all math, basically. So far (it's the end of the 2nd week of the term) I haven't learned anything new, but that will come.

I like my teachers pretty well. They are both extremely organized. One teaches in kind of a sing-song voice which makes me feel like I'm in kindergarten, but she's really good at explaining things, so I don't mind. The other has tons of rules and is really picky, but I don't mind that either. One of the labs I have a different teacher, and he's pretty good.

All in all it's going fine, but it's definitely more WORK overall than any of my other terms have been. A&P and Micro were more about reading/memorizing than doing "homework." So this is a bit different.

I dont know, I havent started yet. LOL 18th is my first day back, will let you know after next week!:p

Good. I've gone to all my first classes except Human Development. The one thing I'm dreading is all the exams. For each class, I seem to have mutiple exams (like 2-5) plus a culmative final. :o The worst is Nutrition as far as I'm concerned, believe it or not. Only 2 exams plus final, but 16 quizes and 3 assignments. I'm one whose adrenaline always goes up with the words quiz, test or exam. Have to keep reminding myself to breathe and all will be fine.

I started my first class last night, Math 005, and of course that was easy. I have to start from the beginning bascially b/c of poor grades in elem. and h.s. :crying2: Feb. I start my bio 111 class.

I have psyc/clinicals & micro for the first 8wks then ob/clinicals & micro for the second 8 wks. My classes started the 11th had a quizz in micro the second day! Clinicals on the second day & tons of homework.I basically have a test or quizz every other day. This is gonna be a long 16 wks. On the up side I love psyc & I actually think I am going to like micro which I have been scared to death of. Good Luck to all!!

Well, my winter term English class is over ("A"), and I start my Spring semester in A&P 1 on the 18th.

As for myself, I'd rather have a test every week, and mid-term and final. They count less than no test, just midterm and final, or no test, just final. :stone

Plus, in some cases, the more tests you have during the semester, the more study material you have for the final. :)

Good luck to everyone!

I agree I find I learn better this way the material is "fresh". We are tested on what we have just learned plus old material is also included so it stays with you. One test just builds on another so by semester's end you really have a final so to speak even before you are at that point.Good Luck

I have had General Psychology which is ok, I think it will be fun in the end. Math 110 which I will probably survive, at least in part to the fact that the professor used to be my boy scout troop leader and I am capable when taught. English is easy stuff for me, I had a 4.0 in English 101 and expect the same in 102. Anatomy is the only class that is really giving me fits. I just need to slow down and read all of the instructions over and over until I can comprehend what I have to do in the lab book.

I got accepted into the nursing program.

So I had to drop micro, organic chem, and computer applications yesterday, so that I can take the first clinical class. I am so... happy

This semester SPRING 05 I plan on taking 3 classes , NUR 1, AP 2, music history, and or art history. I am in a community college I plan on pursing a bachelor's degree, and many schools want music/art history. I hope the best for everyone!!!:)
