There was a similar video for male catheterization. They squeezed a liquid lidocaine solution into his urethra and let it sit for 5 minutes before inserting the catheter. I wonder why the anesthetic wasn't used on the female patient. FWIW, I'll be starting a BSN program in September, so this is all new to me.
