Do You Need Help Preparing For The Teas?

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

I just finished taking the TEAS examination and I got a 90! Whoop Whoop! I also got my nursing school acceptance letter!

After all of this I've decided to sell my study guide I used for the TEAS. It's not the ATI study guide, but it's more like tips and tricks for the TEAS. It really helped me out and I figured someone might want it. If your interested just e-mail me on here.

Sincerely,

Kimberly

P.S.-If you have any questions about the TEAS (in general) I can probably help you out.

There was a lot of physics, general science, earth science and genetics. There was only 1 AP question in my test.

Also I wanted to point out the math was easy math however the questions are very long and detailed, your best bet for studying that section, is to know how to do all the problems very quickly! many people do not finish the math section because of time only. A lot of Averaging type problems where you have to add up large groups of figures, or do multiple step problems, all without a calculator so you need to be able to get through them fast in order to save time.

There are practice TEAS questions on the internet just do a google search, I didn't find them as helpful as the book at all. In my opinion if you get the study guide and study it front to back you will do well.

Oh god. Math without a calculator?!? I am totally screwed. Better plan on trying to get into the other program that doesn't require the TEAS :o

I didn't care for the ATI study guide. It's examples seemed harder than the version of the test you get at my school (Ivy Tech Bloomington). I bought the study guide + 2 online practice exams. I got like a 76 on the ATI online test, but I got a 91 at school. I wonder if every school has a different version of the TEAS?

I did much better on the real test too, but I chaulk it up to all the studying I did, I don't think it was easy at all. It was a lot of work and not enough time. I think there are many different versions, I took it in a large group, everyone had a different version, similar questions, somewhere the same but at different times of the test, you could see everyone's computer so the tests had to be different.

For which program do u use the TEAS?

For which program do u use the TEAS?

Different schools use it, there is no one criteria, except here in California they have started having all the community colleges take the TEAS exam. There are several other exams that schools use too, your best bet is to call around to programs your interested in and find what if any test they might use.
