Shoot....I WISH I had your schedule! This is what I got to take:

A&P I (Lec AND Lab)

Human nutrition and diet therapy

General Biology (Lec AND Lab)

Pray for me!!!! LOL!!!!

Gina- Last semester I took

Statistics

A&P 1 w/Lab

Nutrition

Lifespan

It wasn't that bad! I got 3 As and 1 B (in Lifespan- the easier of the 4 )

Are you working too? I don't work but do have 2 kiddos and a hubby to keep up with.

Also- when is the last time you had a biology class? I took general bio w/lab a few semesters ago and it was the first science class I'd had in well over 15 years so it was very hard for me.. BUT.. you'll find these three classes overlapping in many areas so it may help you that you're taking them all at once. The more exposure, the better!

Oh- and this semester I'm taking:

A&P 2 w/lab

Micro w/lab

Chem w/lab

God help us all!!!!

Isn't taking care of two kids and a husband comparable to working 2 or 3 full-time jobs?!

I honestly think my sister-in-law (who is a nurse) looks forward to going to work because for her, nursing is a breeze compared to taking care of two little ones.

Now see, this is the kind of feedback I was looking for. Wow mjmoon you are taking 3 sciences..I wish you luck, you can do it. And I would defiently say taking care of 2 kids is a full time job too.

Mjmoon,

I do work, but, its a pretty flexible job. I havent taken a biology class in over 6 years! HOWEVER! I have been reading some biology books so I'm hoping that will help some!

BTW, you won! A&P II, Micro, and chem are pretty tough, so I wish you the best of luck in those classes. Maybe we should include that we both will be science majors next

semester? jk :specs:

Ack, don't be a science major unless you are truly interested or a glutton for punishment  My class began with almost 800, and 4 years later, graduated fewer than 400.

chicago- The boys are a full time job in and of themselves. I am lucky though that the hubby is very, very helpful when he gets home from work. And my oldest is in school all day so that helps too. My little one starts Kindergarten in September so hopefully I'll be starting nursing school at the same time and we'll all get into a good grove with the three of us in school all day. :)

I love the sciences but I'd be lying if I said they aren't really, really hard for me. Chem is scaring me the most.. but I figure this is good training for nursing school.

So will you be taking your nursing classes in the morning or afternoon/evening? That's awesome that your husband is on board; I couldn't imagine going through this journey if my friends and family weren't encouraging me all the way.

I work with kids with my job (most of the time I have to watch 25 kids or more). Time for a career change! LOL!!!! Anyway, its not too bad, but just not for me.

I like science too, but Im kinda rusty, but thank goodness for youtube and ppl who show videos of lectures! I'll be reading books and watching videos till the school semester starts again. Also, I plan to hook myself up with a tutor as soon as the semester starts. Nothing like one-on-one help! :p I NEED to pass these classes; whatever it takes. LOL! I need to know this science like the back of my hand. Nursing isnt forgiving if you dont know that biology!

I would have to agree with several other postings, your course load isn't bad or heavy at all, but I would also caution with A & P. My anat and phys classes were separate and both were hybrid (in class and online) and I would have to say I spent a good majority of time in the bone lab going over bones. The software that was available to us to use online was completely different from what we were tested on. I took Pathophys with a few students who received A's on their online A & P class and they had to drop out as they werent prepared for Patho, they couldn't recall and admitted that the online classes were much easier that what was being lectured on in class.

I'll be taking nursing classes whenever they tell me to. lol I'm assuming they are morning/afternoon.. I may have to barter some deals with neighbors for before or after school time if there is overlap but I'm hoping for the most part there won't be too much of that to worry about. Hubby is home from work at 4:40 everyday to which is very helpful.
