A&P I Spring 2007 Semster - Welcome!

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

I will be taking A&P I next semester when I come back from Christmas break for the Spring 2007 semester. I didn't know if someone was going to start a group or not, so I thought I would create a thread to find those of us who have been "getting our feet wet" and are going to start into the fun stuff during the Spring 2007 semester. I look forward to seeing who all will be feeling my pain!

I couldn't resist stopping into say hi, I just finished AP I so good luck to you all and enjoy! There is a folder with AP links if you haven't checked it out check it out lots of great sites.

I'm taking A&P I along with Micro and working 40 hours a week. :uhoh3: If it gets to be too much, I'm quitting the job, but I think I can handle it. No tv for 2.5 months.

Hi, everyone!

I will be taking Human Anatomy next semester and am a bit nervous! I'll take Human Physiology the following semester. Does anyone know why some schools combine the two classes, and why others break it up? And does it matter to adcoms?

Anyway, I have my book (which is huge btw!), my lab manual (also huge!) and a couple little study sheets and flash cards. I really feel that I need to start reading and studying now. I don't know why I'm so nervous about this class, other than I need an A!

Good luck to you guys and thanks for starting this thread!

K :)

I AM IN !!!!!!!!!!!! :monkeydance:

This will be so much fun!!!!!

I need an A !!!!!:uhoh3:

Also taking Statistics and Speech.:uhoh3:

I've PMed a moderator but haven't heard a response back yet about making this thread a sticky.. We'll see I guess..

Hi everyone. This is my first post to allnurses.com. I am starting anatomy after Christmas and could use a little support. Lately I have been frustrated about how long this process is going to take me. I have wanted to be a nurse for so long, but sometimes I lose sight of that fact and get lost in all the work to be done.

So, hi!!! Let's talk anatomy.

First, I would like to welcome you to the forum and let you know that you're not alone. You have found the best place on the internet to discuss nursing. Any aspect of nursing that you can possibly think of, it's covered here at allnurses.com

Secondly, do not get discouraged about the time process. Everything in life takes time. Just look at it this way; this process takes time, but think of all the rewards you will reap the rest of your life.

I'm a first year freshman at a four year university, so I may not be of much help, but I definatly can relate to the time process discouragement. Just keep your chin up! If there is anything I can do to help you, please feel free to contact me.

Good Luck!

Hi. Is this your 1st semester? Anyways, I know how it feels b/c I was not really being smart when I set up my schedule for taking classes the last two semesters. I took Algebra, English, Ethics, Humanities, Computer, Psychology when I really should have started with an Anatomy class:uhoh3: oh well, now I gotta wait even longer before I can apply. So don't feel bad, we're all playing the waiting game LOL

suburbanmom: "Tactical patience" is the key term here....

Three things need to be considered.

1. you have to get competitve grades....nothing lower than a B, A's are of course always better.

2. Don't sign up for too many classes or you cant get competive grades

3. No other classes will require you to put in more study time than the science prerequisites.

It's taken me a little longer than usual, too to get those classes done. The anatomy classes are very time consuming. I have thought the same things and wished things would go faster. But we can't do everything all at once....many of us have other things in our lives occupying and zapping our energy than school.

Take your time and pace yourself. The important thing is that you reach your goal in the end. Good luck.

( Iam haviang trouble posting this, I hope it goes thru)

Specializes in Accepted...Master's Entry Program, 2008!.

I'm supposed to start right after Christmas. I'm still attempting to register at the horribly managed community college. Failing approval, I be stuck in Gen. Bio for 1 semester. My plan is, however, to take A&P starting January.

Woo-Hoo!
