A&P I Spring 2007 Semster - Welcome!

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

I will be taking A&P I next semester when I come back from Christmas break for the Spring 2007 semester. I didn't know if someone was going to start a group or not, so I thought I would create a thread to find those of us who have been "getting our feet wet" and are going to start into the fun stuff during the Spring 2007 semester. I look forward to seeing who all will be feeling my pain!

I completely understand and sympathize with how much time this process takes. I get really frustrated that I didn't start this years ago, like I had thought of doing. But oh well - like everyone says -- life is a journey and as with anything, it's best just to enjoy the ride! We'll get there! :)

Count me in for Spring'07 API. My college has an interim January term so the Spring semester doesn't start until the end of January and after this Fall I'm THRILLED to have this time off before starting API to regroup and strategize. This was a bad, bad semester and I'll probably end up retaking the Psych and Micro I'm just now finishing up. My gut tells me I should withdraw from Sociology that I'm registered for along with the API and focus solely on AP, but the terms of my student loan don't allow going below 6 credits. :uhoh3:

ANYWAY! Glad to be aboard and look forward to comiserating with you all here! lol

Hi. Is this your 1st semester? Anyways, I know how it feels b/c I was not really being smart when I set up my schedule for taking classes the last two semesters. I took Algebra, English, Ethics, Humanities, Computer, Psychology when I really should have started with an Anatomy class:uhoh3: oh well, now I gotta wait even longer before I can apply. So don't feel bad, we're all playing the waiting game LOL

Hi Lost

I did the exact same thing. I took Chemistry, then stats, Child development, speech, psychology, and now I can't believe I have to take A&P I, Bio 120, (this spring) then A&P II then Micro. I should have done that 2 semesters ago!!! Glad to see I am not the only one!!! Count me in! I am sure we will need all the support we can get!

Wow!! Thanks everyone for the support and advice. I knew this would be a long process, but I get frustrated every now and then. I have finished all my pre-reqs except for anatomy (coming right up), physiology, and micro. After that I will probably need 3 months of volunteer time before I have enough points to get into the school I want. I had this great PLAN to finish right before I turned 40. However, things have not quite worked out the way I planned.

Anyhow, it is great to find such a supportive place!

I'll be happy to get trhough everything by the time I turn 50....life comes at us fast, doesn't it :lol2:

Well I turn 40 later this month and I'm really just starting the journey, so you're ahead of me! :lol2: Best of luck to you, I'm certain you can do it :)

Hey everyone!!!

I too am going to be taking API this spring. However, I'm still waiting for my acceptance from the CC here. Then I have to register before classes on the 16th!!

I plan on taking AP2 this summer and then I'll be done with my prereq's!!!!

I too am planning on taking AP 2 in the summer semester But let's not get ahead of ourselves here...he he

Hi everyone. I sure would like to join. I am taking both AP1 and Micro. I already got some of the books and I can hardly pick up the AP book! I get a mild panic attack everytime I look through it. There is so much! I can tell right away that this is a class that I never want to get behind in. I am sure I will have lots of questions.

Leximast

I never open my books until the 1st day of class I always wanna make sure that I bought the right book LOL call me paranoid he he he

I'm glad I found you guys! I will be taking Chem 1 and A&P 1 this semester. I love all things science. Is it crazy to believe I will do okay because I rock at this with Trivial Pursuit? Just kidding, but seriously, I do love all things science. I went to this website that has sample NCLEX questions and didn't rock so much! I know it is a long hard road, but I am ready to buckle down and achieve what has been put aside for over 20 years! It's great to be in the company of others who have lived (!!!) before coming to this wonderful conclusion that we should all be nurses! We all have some great gifts to share! I am 42 and starting this journey after a very fulfilling 21 year military career (in electronics, go figure!). I still have so much more to give! I'm looking forward to this semester, with all its challenges.... How do I join this group?

I am excited for the spring semester to begin. (We'll see how I feel in a couple months.) My finals for Chemistry are next Tuesday. So far I am getting an A, :w00t: Thanks for starting this thread.

To add: I am scared of cadavers. LOL
