A&P I Spring 2007 Semster - Welcome!

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

I will be taking A&P I next semester when I come back from Christmas break for the Spring 2007 semester. I didn't know if someone was going to start a group or not, so I thought I would create a thread to find those of us who have been "getting our feet wet" and are going to start into the fun stuff during the Spring 2007 semester. I look forward to seeing who all will be feeling my pain!

Will take our first A&P I lecture test tomorrow. I am so scared!

Don't worry you will do great on your test!

I found the test not to hard, 70 questions. How many questions does your A&P teacher give you?

We get betweeen 27 and 35. Each worth 1 point. If you get 3 wrong on the 27 point test it is a B. (92.0 + is an A) I wish she would give more questions. However, so far so good. Next test is on Monday.

She also has us take the tests on a computer. I like it for the fact that as soon as you hit submit you get your grade.

All of our tests are 100 questions! The test definitely was not as bad as I thought it would be. Have another test in two weeks!

Perhaps I am a little late but, my A&P class begins this Saturday, and I am beyond anxious! I had to exercise alot of self control to stop myself from purchasing the text and workbooks required for this semester before class has actually started! I feel very confident that I will do well in this class and can't wait to get started!

our test is 35-40 questions with 5 bonus questions. our teacher is very thorough with his review days. he basically tells us EVERYTHING to study for and what will or won't be on he test. I love that! :D

woo hoo! 100 on my first test. I wish all of the exams could be this easy!

Congrats. Our teacher likes to put trick questions in the mix. It keeps you on your toes I suppose. Yesterday we had a test, and on the question part I was able to get an A. She had us write an essay, so I just have to wait till that is graded to find out for sure. We are in tissues right now. I can't wait till the skeletal system. :)

What is everyone studying now?

Hello all!

EJM, I just finished the tissues, and we are now on bones, both axial and appendicular skeleton. I'm on the quarter system, and it seems like we are flying through the material, but it's easy to remember because it's so interesting!

Today we went over the bones and the processes on them. THEN...we took a look at the cool stuff...how bones grow, how they break, osteomalacia, rikect's disease, breakdown of calcium, etc. We even got to see x rays of fractures! My teacher has a great way of tying in what we already know with the new stuff we learn. I think I learn better that way, and it definitely helps me to retain the information. I love A & P! The coolest thing to me is to have such a broad scientific vocabulary, and actually know what it all means. The body is a masterpiece. Definitely not made by human hands!

We just finished up metabolism, DNA replication, and protein synthesis. The next two classes we are covering tissues and then we will have our next test on all of this stuff. I'm ready to get into the systems, but everything has been really interesting.
