I will be taking A&P I next semester when I come back from Christmas break for the Spring 2007 semester. I didn't know if someone was going to start a group or not, so I thought I would create a... Read More

It will take you through each system including chemistry and there are practice quizes as well.We are still on the chemistry part of A&P I. Does anyone know of a website that breaks everything down a bit. I am so lost. :uhoh21:
Everytime I read the chapter, it gets just a little bit clearer, but I would still like some more help.
Click on the upper left corner where it says "Click here to choose unit" It will give you a variety of systems. Click "Levels of organization" and it will give you a variety of topics inlcuding chemistry. Each one you click on will bring more sub units. When you choose one, it will bring up and interactive page. On most of the pages if you look on the bottom there are extra boxes that look like papers. Click on those to travel through that specific topic. I found this site very helpful.

Im so busy I dont have time to write but we just had our practicum and lecture exam last week. I got 104% on the practicum, which was cake, but the lecture exam sucked and I dont know my score yet. She got questions from the book that I never read in the book nor did she discuss. It made me dissappointed because I knew so much and she tested on things I thought were not important or irrelevent.
Good luck on your exams everyone.

Quite a few are getting D's and eight are currently failing. It is a little scary. The weekly exams are most of our grade, and have a number of trick questions. I know what you are saying. Things that I am very comfortable with are touched very lightly in the exams, and things that are a little more obscure have prominence. It makes you really study each chapter because you don't know what will be on the test. :smilecoffeeIlovecofHey there,

well I dont mind if people fail. I dont know other people's grades but we have extra credit out the ying yang like over 20 points so far, and with that many points I find it impossible to fail haha.
I could honestly say I know all the reading material inside and out and some of those questions still came out of left field.
It just makes me lose motivation, I set up study meetings, I make all the study questions and study materials, I study more than anyone and the test is lame. It makes me not even want to study the new material because heck if we follow the same trend it wont be on the test haha.
I guess I am grateful my teacher isnt as hard as yours haha that would not be fun. Congratulations on your A though.
Im sure I still aced the test, with 6 points extra credit I could have missed six whole problems (and Im not the kinda person who would let herself miss 6 problems haha--too type A)
Im going to have a chat with the teacher and voice my frustrations. I want to feel good about what I learn but its hard to if the test doesnt show what I learned, just what I could intuitively guess.
Thanks for the response. Have a good day everyone.

I just found this thread (and this website!) I'm currently taking A&P one, I'm on the third Unit (Cells and Tissues) and so far I'm really enjoying this class! Which is nothing short of a miracle since in my past I was always so confused by Biology as a whole.
I am taking the course via distance learning. So it's a bit more difficult, as I want to be EXTRA sure I understand everything! So I hope that this discussion is a great resource!

It was only 30 questions and a microscope tissue practical, but I still studied my behind off, and it feels good.

I swear I am the most positive person I know. Just having a bad experience. Im going to try to make an extra lab session tomm. Maybe I'll feel better.

I'm on the quarter system, and last week was the midpoint of the quarter. Today during our lab exam, I was amazed at how many students we have left in our class. I know that A&P 1 will not be offered again until the Fall. I feel kinda sorry for the students who felt they had to drop it.
Well, on a lighter note, I got an 88 on last week's lab exam, and a 96 on today's exam!! :roll I am elated!!! The hardest lab exam is next Monday...the muscles of the hand, foot, arm and forearm, and leg. And...we have our chapter test this Thursday. I swear, the studying never ends. I love it!
Feb 12, '07yeah Im not in danger of failing, I got 104% on the practicum and we'll see what happens with the lecture exam. I just never knew how type A I was until now haha. Other wise Im as sweet as can be.
By the way, I started a study group early on and made practice tests, work sheets, questions to guide the study group, etc. For those of you who havent taken the first test yet and might find the study material handy I think I attached them to this message. I would have posted em sooner but I forgot. Sorry in advance for typos/mistakes.
So Im back to flash cards
