A&p

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Has anyone took A&P I and II together? If so, what is your take on it? I have had some A&P in an abbreviated diploma program. I am working under a tight deadline to be able to enter the BSN program in the FALL. Any feedback anyone?

I did not take them simultaneously, but I took AP1 as an accelerated class for 8 weeks, and then AP2 for the next 8 weeks. So, although they did not overlap, I took them in the same semester, and it moved QUICK!! I was fortunate to have an amazing instructor, but I probably would have retained more had I not done that. I was just always preparing for the next test (about one per week!)

It's do-able, but it's tough.

Good Luck!

Thanks, Carla!! I know it is not going to be easy. But I could not fathom not being able to start the nursing sequence in the fall.

We would not be able to do that here API is a pre req for AP II

AP1 is a prereq for AP2 here too, but since I signed up for AP1 the first 8 weeks of the semester, we were all able to sign up for AP2 the second 8 weeks. It was really nice to be able to get them both done in the same semester.

thats great you can do that you must be going to school every day to cover all that material in 8 weeks, they offer ap in the summer its 4 days a week 4 hours a day that would do my mind in but would be nice to finish so quickly if I had the time I would do it like that. I take AP as a full year course we will just merge over to 102 in the spring same class same instructor.
