I am planning on applying for a nursing school in my area in September for the spring what is the average points that school accept? I will be at 51 points after the summer

Specializes in Med/Surg, Ortho, ASC.

What are points?

And without knowing what points are, I'm going to guess that the answer depends upon the school that you're applying to.

That really varies, as each cohort brings in new sets of applicants. Each program may have different point totals. have you found data on previous cohorts acceptance points for your program?

Specializes in Medical and general practice now LTC.

Unless we know what program you are referring to, we can't give you specific advice. Most schools that I have seen do not list any points that you can calculate yourself when applying. In general, good prerequisite grades and admissions test scores (a lot of schools accept the TEAS) help. If your program gives you points for experiences, I'd try to get those before turning in your application. Some programs require you to have certain licenses before beginning. If you want more specifics, I'd be helpful to know the program, area, or type of program (BSN, ADN...) that you are applying for.

Ask the school what the average accepted applicant's points are.
