Does anyone know of any pre-nursing internships? Either paid or voluntary?

Well, first of all, where do you live?
Here in San Diego, I am currently doing a pre-health internship at Palomar Pomerado Health. It's for students that want to get to know the healthcare field in general. It's a really great program and I reccomend it to anyone.
I also found some pre-nursing internships through volunteermatch.com.
I would also try calling hospitals in your area and asking if they have pre-health or pre-nursing internships - don't go and just fill out a volunteer application, I have found talking to the volunteer director a much more effective way of finding out if a hospital has pre-health internship instead of submitting an application.
Good Luck.

One of the hospitals around here does Versant Nurse Residencies (I think). Look up the versant site I know they're in a lot of places.

Get your CNA. I don't belive there are pre-nursing interships, you have not yet been taught any nurisng skills so you have not business to be performing them. But way to be a go-getter; I suggest getting your CNA if you want to pre-nurisng skills.
I am currently in Dallas, TX.
I took a (really expensive) CNA class earlier this month and on October 27 I will be taking my CNA exam.
Thank you for your help, friends!

The V.A. offers a VALOR program which is basically a pre-nursing internship. They pay 80% of an RN's salary.
Hi! Yes, I did do it at Hearts in Training! Cool we will be testing the same day :) Have you been working as a CNA? Studying? Practicing? Me, no to all of those answers :/

I'm in my junior II semester of a BSN program at Tarleton University. Yes, you CAN do an internship as an undergraduate nurse or student nurse IF you are under a preceptor. We have had three semesters of clinicals, with hands on patient care, so it is possible. I've applied for a VALOR summer internship and encourage the experience :).
