I have been an LPN since 2007 and had 2 different jobs in that time and now am looking for another after moving to another area. I was called and asked to go into a Nurses skill assessment before I am qualified for a formal interview.
Does anybody have any idea what all they will be asking? I worked on a med/surg floor for 4 years and then a school nurse for a year, but I am nervous because I have not used 'major' skills in almost 2 years now and need to refresh but have no idea where to start. Oh and btw, the skill assessment is in less than 2 days so I dont have a lot of time just to start from one end of the scope and go toward the other end. :-/

Likely, they will ask about some cardiac meds, insulins, side effects of some meds, and put you in "what if" scenarios to assess your skills.

In my area -- it is typically comprised of a written test and the majority on meds! GL

So what kind of test questions were you asked?
