I was wondering if anyone has experience with pre-employment assessment test for core nursing skills? This is a test for nurses who are pre-selected for interviews at hospitals and have to do a written assessment about core skills.
What kind of topics should one study regarding these kinds of tests?
I'm from Ontario, Canada.

We give this type of assessment at our hospital. It covers a wide range of topics, from cardiac rhythms, drugs, care of pulmonary, renal and GI, pain control, psychosocial interventions and the like. The purpose is to know where strengths are and weaknesses so as to help pair with the most appropriate preceptor and to determine where to focus training. We also do basic EKG testing, so review rhythm strips.

There is a website that has materials for that type of testing but they won't let you have access if you say your're testing, only if you're using it for study review:
