PRC strikes two times!

In as much as I wanted to help my countrymen rather than caring for caucasians, it always brings me to tantamount doubts that maybe I am better off caring for my immediate family, by being employed in other countries. The rotten rules and regulations of Phil. Nursing board will just make you generalize that going to other countries is the only way to go.

Last June 2006, 17,000 nurses basically cried out blood because of the irresponsibilty they displayed worldwide. (I myself included). That was a very devastating experience for anyone to endure.

As if it wasn't enough Even before the dignity of the nursing profession is able to stand up, another reckless action is shown once more!! It was in the news days ago, that a newly passed nurse double checked his name in the passed list in PRC, it was a surprise that his name is now in the failed list.. His points from 81 fell to 71, making him "fail".

The official therefore concluded this second problem in a statement "Everybody makes mistakes"

I know everybody makes mistakes, but I think it is a no-no for them to make another mistake. They are a REGULATING COMMISSION for crying out loud! They cant afford another scam to dishonor their credibilty.

So for those who passed the June 2007, please check your name once more for your sake. And the second your name isn't there anymore, you know what to do.:angryfire

Oh boy please no more!

yes you're right in pointing out that they are a "regulatory commission" but dear, they are just humans like us..i know how dreadful it is but having thousands of student's name listed in small letters, taking note of the scores, these are numbers they have to copy from their record to that piece of paper they give to the student. its not impossible to commit such a mistake and they already did! they admitted the fault and they did say sorry to the student.. personally if i was that student, definitely il be hysteric mad at them but still "with regards to this issue" in the end it falls on admitting the mistake done-apologize-forgive

your right! i've been to prc many times this month! and my mind you! the place was so crowded! maybe the person who wrote the grade was holding another papers so he/she was able to write in the incorrect paper! but no matter what the reason is, they are just humans! with thousands of names and applicants, not to mention some applicants dont follow correct procedures, etc.. it might add up to the toxic situation!the prc was able to recognized their mistake and done a public apology.... if this incident will happen again, i think that's the time we can't consider it as an honest mistake!

let's just look at the positive side of the issue.... for me, i'm glad its just that! and not like june 2006...

i hope everyone will just encourage one another, offer help to those who ever commits mistake instead of criticizing and focus on to what can help each and everyone of us rise.

i do agree with you. they should have at least check a hundred times of the names who passed before releasing the results. they are being paid for, so they should do their job properly. yes, they are humans but they can't afford to make mistakes. they cant just say, i will take back what i have said. they are PRC, they should not make any room for mistake like this to happen.

It takes time for the PRC to verify hundreds of names and scores. I think they need longer time for the verication to take place in order to prevent the same mistake again.
