Practice tests vs. NCLEX

Published

Hi all,

I will be taking the NCLEX next week and I just had a question for those that have already taken the NCLEX. I have been studying and doing a ton of practice questions that came with my study material, but I just wanted to know if the questions on the practice tests were similar to the questions on the NCLEX? I seem to be doing ok on the practice questions but I am afraid I will go into the test next week and will be totally thrown off at the difficulty level of the NCLEX questions. I have been using ATI online practice tests and 2 different Mosby book CDs to test myself. Did anyone feel the questions to prep them for the test were about the same level, or did they feel the NCLEX questions were much harder?

nclex questions (in my opinion) are most like kaplan....a lot lot ncsbn review questions also....practice lots and lots of select all that apply and priority questions....if you go to slideshare and type in kaplan question trainers...they are the same questions you pay for but this is free

I didn't use the books you mention so i can't compare their level of difficulty to NCLEX. However from personal experience, i know kaplan practice questions are the closest to nclex ( in my opinion). I am also a big believer in reading rationales of your practice questions and i think kaplan has good rationales for their questions.

God favor on your test. You can do it.

IF i can So CAN YOU!!

I failed the nclex the first time using kaplan. This time I have used exam cram, ncbsn, hurst review and was wondering if anyone knows of any book or web site that has nothing but questions that are good?
