Tennesseans NOT allowed to do clinicals

  1. To make a long story short, I was accepted to Loyola's BSN-DNP program back in December. I was told yesterday that "due to the fees required to be paid by Loyola to my state's [Tennessee] Board of Education" they can no longer accept me into the program.

Can anyone at all shed light on this issue, apparently they are having trouble with Arkansas too... and it all has to do with where I will be completing my clinicals. I was supposed to start school in three weeks.

    This is unfair and outrageous.

Some states are charging online schools extra fees to educate one of their students. I have seen proposals for up to $10,000 per student being charges by a home state.

Don't blame the University -- this is a decision made by your home state.
