GN Residency Texas Health Resources- February 2019

Nursing Students Post Graduate

Published

Hey, Y'all!

I decided to go ahead and make a thread for the GN February 2019 Residency just because I know all of us will be on edge till the interview week in August!

For my preference form I selected THR Fort Worth, Southwest, HEB, Alliance, and Arlington for locations and Neonatal ICU, L&D, and Postpartum for my specialties.

I currently work at THR Fort Worth in the Neonatal ICU as a PCT.

Let's keep everyone informed on the process!

I was having the same trouble with seeing my application status and I opened it up on Chrome instead and I could see all of my submissions and the status of them. Good luck everyone!!

That's awesome! Which hospital is your first choice? I only know about them from research I have done online. I don't know anyone in the medical field around DFW lol. Ya'll have a lot more hospitals to choose from in comparison to my area in Florida which is great!

The Dallas location is my top choice because it is closer to where I live but I am open to wherever!

Mine all just say "completed" and they still say active, but they've all been taken down so I know that its not still taking submissions. I am not sure what the deal is with the system because they used to have a different way of viewing it apparently

Mine just says completed too.

Mine say completed as well

Mine say completed only also.

I received an email today for an interview with THR on an ortho floor. I have two interviews at other orgs for cardiac tele. I went ahead and let them know that I wasn't interested in ortho, as much as it sucked to tell them that, I recently completed clinical on an ortho floor and decided it wasn't for me. I hope it doesn't ruin my chances for other positions :/

Congratulations!! Good luck on your interviews. Which hospital is it at if you don't mind me asking?

Has anyone else heard back regarding emails. I received my preference form and completed it almost a week ago and haven't heard anything back. I'm just wondering how long it will take to hear back and if we get rejection emails. I just hate hearing nothing because I don't know if I am still being considered or not. I also have applied for some Medical City residencies and haven't heard back from them either.

Same here, it is nerve-racking.

Congratulations!! Good luck on your interviews. Which hospital is it at if you don't mind me asking?

Thank you very much!! I have interviews at Baylor Dallas and Methodist Mansfield.

And regarding rejection emails, yes I am pretty sure they send out rejection emails so eventually you will hear one way or the other. It seems like they are just getting started so don't worry just yet! I'm sure y'all will hear something :)

I sent my preference form in and also have not heard back since then. I applied for Medical City as well and haven't heard back either. Texas health seems to be a lot faster at getting back with people since they didn't leave there application period open for that long. I'm hoping we all get good news soon!
