GN Residency Texas Health Resources- February 2019

Nursing Students Post Graduate

Published

Hey, Y'all!

I decided to go ahead and make a thread for the GN February 2019 Residency just because I know all of us will be on edge till the interview week in August!

For my preference form I selected THR Fort Worth, Southwest, HEB, Alliance, and Arlington for locations and Neonatal ICU, L&D, and Postpartum for my specialties.

I currently work at THR Fort Worth in the Neonatal ICU as a PCT.

Let's keep everyone informed on the process!

I'm an ADN and was offered a job in the NICU at Fort Worth! I think if you make it known that you plan on pursuing your BSN right away and show potential, you shouldn't have a problem. But, if you're up against a BSN student, that may put a step behind. It's not impossible tho.

Hey everyone, Ill be applying September 17th! I was wondering for those that got interveiws for NICU/L&D/antepartum if you put womens services on your cover letter or specifically L&D/NICU/Antepartum. I am interested in ALL of those so I was just curious!

If you're interested in all of them, put women's services. But maybe highlight what you like about each of them in the cover letter

Was the interview process through phone or a panel? Also do you guys know the nursing recruiter for THR Plano?

Hey everyone! I am an external applicant that applied today, they posted about 35 positions I believe. Anyways, on previous threads, it says that somewhere you can see the application status? How do you see that in the job board? I know it won't change for a while, but just for future reference! Thanks yall :)

I am wondering the same thing. I applied and got the email to fill out the preference form, but I wanted to see what my application status says and I can't find it on the page. Let me know if you figure it out. :)

When did you receive the email with the preference form - like how quickly after you applied?

I applied in the morning Monday the 17th and received the preference form on Friday the 21st.

Hey! I got the preference form as well. I applied on the morning of the 17th and got it on Friday the 21st as well. However, I still haven't figured out the job status thing, I think they just recently changed it.

I'm really hoping to hear back more from them. I applied to Baylor and Medical City and haven't heard anything. I currently live in Florida but am moving to Dallas in December and I really want a job lined up before I go. I'm hoping Texas Health asking for preferences is a good sign.

Hello! I just heard from Baylor today, I went to their expo. They said they just have tons of applicants and have been traveling a bit. Medical City- idk I didn't apply there! But that's awesome! DFW is great, I love it. Hopefully the preference form is a good sign, I am sure it is :)

That's awesome! Which hospital is your first choice? I only know about them from research I have done online. I don't know anyone in the medical field around DFW lol. Ya'll have a lot more hospitals to choose from in comparison to my area in Florida which is great!
