Nursing Students Post Graduate

Published

I thought I would start another thread about Yale GEPN. Would like to hear from anyone and everyone thats applying to the program for the fall of 2008? Its obvious that all of those that applied for the fall of this year have gotten their acceptance letters and congrats to them all, hopefully I will meet them all next year. In the meantime, I would like to hear from those going for the fall of 08. What were your major/degree in undergrad? Where are u now in the application process?

Hope to hear from all...

Kevkev, congrats! That's so great!!! I'll be there on the 17th, and would love to connect with anyone else that will be there that day. :)

Augh, too bad yours is on the 17th. Well, we may be classmates in the near future :wink2:

Kens,

did you apply to UCSF? what is your specialty? I thought at one point you are applying to ACNP specialty as well, but I'm not sure.

No, I didn't apply to UCSF, but I wish I would have! You are right - I applied to the ACNP specialty. :)

Nice, we're on the same boat then :roll

Are you prepared for the interview? I have no clue on what they are going to ask.

I here you -- I have no idea either! I'm going to start really prepping this weekend, and just expect the unexpected! :)

For anyone also applying to Columbia:

What are you guys going to do about the FAFSA application? As I'm sure you know, Columbia requires us to apply for FAFSA as undergraduates, but Yale and other schools are Graduate. Let's try and figure something out, because this is confusing!! Thanks:)

Hi, guys!

Will anyone be staying at either the Omni or the New Haven Hotel during your interview stay?

See you soon!

Kens

Hey Kens,

I think I'll be staying at the Omni (I have yet to make the reservation though). I'll be there the 17th through the 19th. How about you?

Well, I really want to stay at the Omni, but the cost is a bit much for me right now, so I was thinking of maybe staying at the New Haven Hotel. The Omni is definitely calling my name though! :) Either way, I'll be there from the 16th - 18th. Will you be at the potluck on the 17th?

Has anybody looked into staying with current GEPN student? I haven't decided whether or not I would get a hotel room. I will be in on the 21st and out on the 23rd.

After much consideration (yes, the Omni was calling my name as well ;)), I've come to the decision that it really is too expensive. I'm going to stay at the Premiere Hotel & Suites instead. They've got a really good deal, I think. ~$105/night including free wireless/breakfast/light dinner (M-Th). Plus, they have a free local shuttle. I called them to verify that this includes shuttle service to and from the interview. They said I just have to set up the times for pick-up and drop-off when I check in and they'll take care of it! It's only 1.5 miles from the SON, so I could always make other arrangements if the shuttle didn't work out for some reason!
