I have lived in Dayton area for 7 years now and am soooooo ready to move.
I got my LPN license in Jan and have since worked for 3mo in LTC, and now 2mo for Home Health and agency PRN.
I am considering moving to Akron or Canton area. I am wondering about cost of living, job situation-are there some- and pay.
Eventually-in next 1-4 years I will be going for my RN.
Any info anyone has on these areas, where to start, etc would be appreciated.
Obviously I can't move until I get a job...How do I do that from a distance? I am willing to drive for serious interviews but do not want to unless there is a significant chance of getting the job...does that make sense?..how can I let an employer know that without turning them off? Thanks everyone.

my suggestion would be look at the akron beacon journal online for jobs. here's the link www.thebeaconjournal.com. as for school to complete the rn program the university of akron is available for lpn-rn, rn-bsn as well as rn-msn programs. here's the link that is directly to the college of nursing http://www3.uakron.edu/nursing/. hope this helps a little bit!
