PMN,Bestaff,TNA?

Hi, I'm new to traveling nursing & eager to look for my first assignment. I wanted to know if anyone had any positive & negative experiences with the following companies: Travel Nurse Across America, Bestaff, Preferred Mobile Nurses. Can anyone recommend a great recruiter from these companies?

Have never heard of one of those, sorry................

Specializes in ER.

Ditto what Suzanne said, been traveling 5 years and have never heard of any of them. That doesn't mean they are bad, just haven't met anyone from any of those that I can recall. I have been with RN Network the whole time and think they are the greatest. I took one contract with Intelistaf when I couldn't get one where I wanted. It was OK, but not the high caliber of staff and benefits I find with RN Network. Intelistaf had inferior insurance, a few problems getting paid on time, but no major glitches.

Just keep one thing in mind. The travel company should be working FOR YOU and not the other way around. You should not have to fight tooth and nail to get the information you need to make a decision about an assignment. Your recruiter should be up front about everything. If you find that they are lying or trying to steer you to one place when you feel that you shouldn't.....run from them as fast as you can. There are some really scary places to work out there, and your license is too precious. You need to find a recruiter that you can reach when you need them, and not just constantly have to leave voice mails for someone who may or may not return your calls.

There are many things to look for in a good travel company. Read the many threads on this forum and you will get a good general education and idea of good and bad companies to watch out for. Good luck.

I am about to take an assignment with Bestaff in MA. My recruiter, Matthew, kept working on the assignment even though he knew my first choice was somewhere else with another company. Guess what? The other recruiter was not keeping in touch to tell me what was happening. Matthew kept working and maintaining contact. Made me feel like he was paying attention. I hope to keep working with him for several more assignments!
