Please say good things about Rio Salado

Published

Hello everyone- I'm new here, and I'm hoping to get some good news about Rio Salado. I'm stationed overseas, but am trying to get my prereqs done but it's very hard getting the right classes over here. So I just registered with Rio Salado and so far things aren't going well. They couldn't figure out how to put my address and phone number in to register me, they have lost my order for my books so Lord knows when I'll get them, and apparently the only person who works in the cashier's office is off this week- so they can't process my tuition assistance paperwork- which means I probably won't get my stuff in time for class. I was already really nervous about taking A&P online- and this is not making me feel any better.--- so I'm hoping someone will tell me that once that class starts- everything will be better... please! :uhoh21:

They're not fantastic, but they're not horrible either.

It does seem pretty strange that they aren't able to process your TA paperwork in a timely manner. I haven't had problems in that respect yet.

Do be sure about which sections you want to register with though. I registered for a mixed media class because the internet is tough when we are underway. My instructor recommended switching to online because she said it was easier. I contacted an advisor and was told the only way to do it was to pay full tuition for the new class. A bunch of BS if you ask me.

Some of the instructors are good, some aren't. I just finished A&P I with a not so very good instructor, so hopefully you won't get him.

I can tell you though that if you are unable to get your books right away, you should have no problem with utilizing online resources to complete the lab excercises and quizzes. If you need any help, let me know.
