OK everyone,
I've made the decision to LEAP! I'm applying to University of Texas at Arlington for the fast track second degree nursing program, but I have a TON of prereqs to take (or at least it seems that way). I'm doing the prereqs at a transferrable community college (Dallas - El Centro, Eastfield).
Since you guys know more about the workload of each class, please help me decide which classes to take at the same time.
Here is my first draft. Should I move some around? I only have until January 5th, 2010 to get these all finished or I will not be able to do the fast track.
THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!!!

Seems like an average amount of classes for a full time student. A lot of work but certainly won't kill you.

Hi. Also a D/FW person here, although I am going to NCTC. The only pre-reqs I needed were A&P I and II, but I decided to take Dev Psych and Microbiology now instead of while in the NS program. So, with that said....right now I am in A&P I and Dev Psych and I have two very young children and a traveling husband. It's been fine so far. A&P is a lot of work. I study for at least 2 hours every day. Taking microbiology and A&P II (both sciences) will probably challenge you, but you will do fine, I'm sure! Good luck to you!

As long as you are a dedicated student you will do fine! I took a similar course load and made it through. It will take hard work, but it is definitely doable!

I finished my prereqs at Tarrant County College last Fall. I chose to take 17 hours - A&P II, Micro, Psych, English, and Algebra - and it nearly killed me! I pulled all A's at the risk of total burnout on school. Your summer schedule looks a bit heavy. If you can slim your load down to two summer courses, that might save your sanity because A&P II is intense - just a suggestion. Good luck to you on your educational journey!
I can't believe I finished all my prereqs! Thanks everyone for your advice.. 4.0 GPA sofar!! :) Thanks

I am not going to lie...that sounds really easy. How come you are only taking 1 class on the spring. is that all the pre-reqs u need?
Actually, if you check the date, that was last year, Feb 2009.
At the time I didn't know there was such thing as flex terms.
I Ended up taking Dev Psych, Tech Writing and Govt during the Spring 2009
A&P I and II during the summer 2009
and Microbiology and Statistics during the fall 2009.
And no, it wasn't easy to take those classes accelerated as I did. But I did manage to keep a 4.0 GPA.
But thanks for your help.
