Please give me honest advice...

I just took QT6 with a 58% and then QT7 with 55%, I test on friday and if I'm going to reschedule I have to do it before 1pm tomorrow! Would you reschedule with these scores?! I still have to take the readiness. Also, I got a 64% on the Diagnostic test! I'm freaking out and have no idea what to do !!!!

I am sorry MS. JLYNN167 that you are feeling like you are freaking out. Relax a little, and take a deep breath.

You have been stressing about this for sometime now and posting the same scores and same feelings for a while now. I would suggest that you find a way to reverse these feelings and be more positive and confident. This attitude will not help you at all during the NCLEX.

Yes, this is a major test but it isn't anything that can't be passed. Most of us have found that the KAPLAN questions are either easier or similar to the NCLEX questions. The interface on the computer even has a very similar look between the NCLEX and Kaplan.

Look deep inside yourself and find the courage to face this. The NCLEX is in no way harder than the 2+ years you have spent in nursing school. Be confident that you went to school to learn what a nurse does and now go apply this knowledge and make nursing decisions.

These test scores are not that bad. Qtrainer 6&7 are long hard tests. I would go over them and review the rationales of the questions you got wrong and finish up the readiness exam. Review that exam as well. I can't tell you to not reschedule but what would you do to make a change if you did reschedule?

Find your inner nurse and do the best that you can. That is all you can ever do.

Thanks :) !! Yes, I get horrible test anxiety and on a better note I just took the readiness with a 64% which makes me feel a little better.

Good, I like the 64% much better. That is much higher than KAPLAN states as a high probability of passing. I feel good for you! Do you feel it? You can do this!!

Those scores are absolutely fine. Kaplan is harder than NCLEX, in my opinion. Heck some of my senior semester nursing class tests were harder than NCLEX was.

I would do some destressing the day before the NCLEX.

You you have worked hard for this and your just psyching yourself out.

I agree with everyone else, not to psych yourself out. I'm taking mine in 2 weeks and trying to remind myself constantly that I am smart enough to get through this. We all made it thru nursing school, which in itself proves we're capable.

Thanks everyone, I feel a little better. I am testing tomorrow ...wish me luck! :snurse:
