Please clarify some designation acronyms

Hello, because Im an Aussie Im not across the following designation acronyms. I can make educated guesses but can someone help confirm:

BSN

LVN

LVP

LPN

CNA

ADN

BSN = Bachelor of science in nursing

LVN = Licensed vocational nurse

LVP = ?

LPN = Licensed practical nurse

CNA = Certified nursing assistant

ADN = Associate degree in nursing

bsn bachelor of science in nursing, takes the rn-nclex exam

lvn licensed vocational nurse, takes the lpn -nclex exam

lvp not sure

lpn licensed practical nurse (same as lvn), takes the lpn-nclex exam

cna certified nursing aid

adn associated degree nurse, takes the rn-nclex exam

Different states, same position.

Yes, LVN and LPN are the very same positions. Some states use the "vocational" term, and some states use the "practical" term. Unsure why there cannot be a consensus as to what to call them, but...that is simply the way it is. Hope this helps.

They are the same thing...

In AZ we use "LPN" but I've heard LVN before
