Hi,
I'm in the same boat. I applied in April, got the interview in July, passed, and was placed on the list. I went on the tour of the facility, and the recruiters said just to wait and be patient (they recommended registry). I have emailed them twice and they responded right away and said to remain patient, and that I will need to reapply after one year if not hired. I never gave up applying to other hospitals, and I finally... finally got a job offer this week at a hospital on a gero-psych unit. Things are tight. So my advice is to keep applying everywhere and don't give up!! The best of luck to you.

LA County is still hiring, it just takes a while. They also have new grad programs at Olive View and LACUSC, call the recruiters!!! The interview process can be tedious, managers interview multiple times for their own departments so you might have a few interviews and even if they love you it can take longer than a month to hear. Be patient. Do some volunteer or registry work if you can. The new grad programs will help you!!! Good luck

call the nurse recruiters. you should have gotten a list at your county interview. when you call them, ask how often they find out when they have openings, usually it's every two weeks.
I got a call this past summer for a position at LAC-USC for a non-clinical position, I interviewed for it, didn't think it was for me though. Also got a call from Rancho to come in and interview which I declined because I already found a job.
When I called the nurse recruiter at Rancho, she asked me to fax in my resume and "letter" I got from county.
