place to buy nursing supplies

Published

Hello everyone,

I'm wondering if anybody knows of a good place to buy nursing supplies in the city of Phoenix, and surrounding areas. I'm looking for nursing school supplies such as nursing clipboard, penlights, trauma scissors, stethoscope, etc. Sometimes, bookstores near the college have these supplies....... oftentimes they do not.

I've been ordering things online, but shipping is getting expensive. I also like to see and hold what I'm buying before I purchase it.

Any suggestions...??

THANKS!!!

I bought a few things at Scrubs & Beyond in Gilbert. The stethoscope I purchased did not work properly (sound only came from one ear-I thought I was loosing my mind!) But the have several brands of shoes to choose (I have VERY narrow feet and did want laces or holes in the shoes so I needed to try on several style before finding a good fit.) They also have lots of different brands of scrubs some being really soft rather than the scratchy stuff they try to make you buy at the school bookstores- I have super sensitive skin when it comes to abrasive fabrics so I am hoping to purchase a softer but more expensive brand.

My classmates are buying their clipboards cases at Walmart - they have a calculator attached.

I buy most big stuff online e.g. stethoscopes, etc. Any scrub place usually has the other stuff.

apparel pro in Tempe offers a 20% discount if you are a student and show your nursing student ID badge

this goes for most items, except for scrubs with the school logo on them

I agree with kiki9481 about Apparel Pro. They have a large selection of supplies you'd need for school. However, I've found their prices on stethoscopes to be higher than that online at allheart.com So, like you said, go to the store and try it out. Then go online and find it cheaper. :yeah: Once you're done with school, they have a frequent buyer card for scrubs and have sales on stuff all the time. Besides, it's nice to support a locally owned business. They are often at local hospitals for sales and give a percent back to the hospital. :nurse:

Thank you everyone!
