I also applied there. I applied to PLU as well.. The resume was a little odd to write.. Very nervous for both, since both are competitive and I feel you just never know 100% what they are looking for.

I just found this thread, but I am happy that I did. I applied to Pierce College this year and I found the application process to be very interesting. The most challenging I found was the Functional Resume because I had never done one before. In the end, I was happy with my result and am anxious to hear back about whether or not I got in.

No kidding, I'm eager to hear back. I heard that all applicants will receive a phone call, to tell us if we're accepted or rejected, in late May. The functional resume was weird, I agree. I sort of winged it.

This is my first time applying for the Pierce nursing program as well. I also thought the functional resume was a bit different. Went to the Pierce career services center for it, but not sure how I did on it. Super nervous!

Does anyone know how heavily weighted the recommendation is? The person I used is just crazy busy with working in the hospital to be worrying about that for me.

I went to the workshop and Stania stated that the recommendation has no weight over another applicant's recommendation. It is assumed that everyone will have a good recommendation, so there is no point in putting weight to it.

Today, Tuesday May 17th, is supposed to be the last day for reviewing the nursing applications. We should find out sometime between now and May 27th.

I am also anxiously waiting to hear from them. The last time I talked to the admin person she said she will start calling towards the end of next week. I just want to know one way or the other so I can stop stressing out. :nailbiting:
