PICOT Opioid Abuse Please Help!

Hi all!

Working on my PICOT statement for my BSN. My topic is the opioid epidemic.

I need help with my interventions.

I was thinking about having one intervention being the education on nonpharmacological methods, but I am missing a comparison intervention.

Please help!

Wouldn't it be to a group receiving no education?

I thought it would have to be a different intervention?

I am not sure how I would find data on people not educated.

Most studies would have their own control group. No problem! Good luck.

I would do a search on opioid addiction treatments and see what you find. I don't understand what you mean about education on non-pharmacological methods.

What methods are non-pharmocological? Abstinence? Talk therapy? 12 Step programs? Is there much long-term success with these?

Are you educating health care personnel? Or patients ?

Have you considered doing it on safe injection it's? Ton of literature there
