G'day all...
Taking the NLN-PAX RN in a week. I haven't had Physics since high school (ahem... 23 years ago). Needless to say, I'm a "little" rusty:lol2:. I have the 3rd Edition NLN Study Guide, which has been somewhat helpful with the Physics. However, I've heard that there is a LOT of Physics on the NLN. This is my weakest subject of all I've been studying. For those who have taken the NLN and did well, especially on the science part, what was your secret to studying the Physics? Did you memorize a lot of the formulas for speed, velocity, etc.? Any input would be much appreciated. Like I said, taking the exam next week and feel pretty confident about everything except the Chemistry and mainly the Physics. Cheers!

]All I did was study the book and use the cd EVERYDAY! Doing this helped a lot. If you have studied you will be fine! What school are you going to?
Thanks--that is very good to know! Did you memorize the formulas for momentum, acceleration, etc.?
I've applied to the ADN programs at Indian River State College and Palm Beach State College and to Florida Atlantic University to their BSN program (only need to have your AA, not your ADN, to apply here)--and I also applied to the LPN program at IRSC in case I don't get admitted to any of the RN programs! My GPA is 3.9 and all my prereqs are done, but I know a lot rides on the NLN. Any more advice, keep it coming!

I would say know your laws of thermodynamics, as well as your boyle's law, charles' law and Gay-Lussac's law. Those are helpful. I hadn't taken chem before I took the NLN and did really well. I think we learned some of boyle's law in A&P. Review some things on combustion, and joules, and things of that nature. Good luck!
Szeles23, thanks so much--that's really helpful!
No problem! Happy to help! I just remember some of those being on my NLN and I was like OMG I don't remember anything about this. It later made sense when I did take Chem lol. I just tried to make the best educated guess I could. I thought I did horribly, but I did very well on the NLN. Good Luck!
