Hi! I am currently in my 2nd semester... I was wondering if anyone has a template for assessing patients. The one my school gave me is so vague.
Thanks!

I would talk to your instructors to get more specifics. It is the schools job to teach you how to perform a complete assessment, and what is normal/abnormal etc. Also, they will most likely be grading you on the assessment criteria that they outline.
Good luck to you!

just remember head to toe....scalp, eyes, ears, nose, mouth, neck.....etc check everything you can see (and some places you cant) you can never be too thorough in school, and dont forget to ask your "patient" questions like "when was your last bm?" or if its a female "patient" "when was your last menstrual cycle?"

That's what I did at each facility we had clinicals, and it worked great!
