I am a first year nursing student in my second quarter. i would love some tips on pharmacology. I am sure this is a common question, so hopefully it helps a few other students out there.
As I am working through my textbooks and doing the crazy amount of reading all nursing students have, I see lots of Meds come up. Meds we are seeing on tests, on dosage calculations. even though I haven't hit them in pharmacology yet, I like finding a way to learn or keep track of them may be helpful but haven't found an easy way. In Med/Surg we need to know the medications and what they are for that we come across. But I don't really understand the drug classes yet.
Anyone have thoughts on this? I was thinking a 3x5 notecard with drug name, class, and use. that way I can write down more info as I see it. However, it seems like a lot of rewriting as I know more. One person thought just look them up as you go.
What actually worked for for you or is working now?
