pharmacology books

Published

Hi everyone!

So currently our class is on winter break, so yay!lol. But we go back in a week and I wanted to buy a few extra books to help me study (particularly pharmacology, since it's the hardest) and just to have a few extra sources. I am in an LVN program , half way of graduating! :D so when we go back to school, these last months we have left, I want to work harder, study more efficiently, and exceed in all my classes (I've gotten only As and Bs so far, my only C was our very first pharm class, boo!) but overall I've gotten good grades.

Anyway, some of the books I've been thinking of buying are:

Nursing pharmacology made incredibly easy, (by Lippincott Williams & Wilkins)

Mosby's pharmacology Memory note cards

Pharm Phlash! (flashcards)

Also an NCLEX study book, just not sure if I should get Saunders or Kaplan

Do you guys have any suggestions as to which are good books to buy (especially pharm), keep in mind I'm doing LVN.

Thank you bunches :)

PS any other books aside from pharm that are useful in helping me study other nursing material better would be appreciated too.

We had a math book called math for nurses 8th edition in our LPN program

What I've read on here about NCLEX books is Saunders is great for content and kaplan is good for preparing you for the sata questions

Specializes in Med-Tele; ED; ICU.

The best book out there for pharmacology is Lippincott's Illustrated Review of Pharmacology.

That, along with the Davis Drug Guide and flashcards is all you need.
