Pharmacology.... Any suggestions?

Published

I feel like my knowledge of pharmacology is adequate and I am able to utilize resources effectively to find answers to my questions but I am a little stressed about the NCLEX because there is just far too much to remember. Does anyone have any suggestions for preparing for the NCLEX in relation to pharmacology?

Are there certain drugs that may be on NCLEX and others, or other classes, that are not?

There was very little pharm but A LOT of Peds! Never understood why.

From what I hear, its just a luck of the draw. Some people get a lot of one thing while another gets none of it. You just never know!

Find a study partner and quiz eachother on meds daily. One person asks the other questions from a review book for about 30 minutes and then they switch. The hardest part is finding someone who is really at your level. Drilling each other this way allows you to learn actively and retain more info. Your study partner should randomly ask you the meds you're weak on regularly. This way, they get stuck in your head.

With pharm, repetition is key!
