Per Diem Rates in SoCal

Specializes in Trauma-Surgical, Case Management, Clinic.

I moved to CA earlier this year. Since I've been here I have done some per diem and contract work on and off (clinic and outpatient primary care setting). I am now considering getting back into the hospital setting and would like to work per diem.

I'm wondering what a fair per diem rate for an RN (non specialty) is in a hospital? I have tried to research this, but the rates I've found have been all over the place with numbers. The agency I'm considering staffs hospitals in the Glendale area. I'll be meeting with the agency this week and I figure that they will low ball me like all agencies do. I would like to know what other per diem RNs in this area are making so I can negotiate??
