Per Diem hours in Las Vegas

Nurses who work per diem here in Nevada, how much per week do you do? Do you ever find yourselves doing "too much" in a week, or is it manageable?

i wish i could tell you.. have you called some HR depts? i bet you could get alot of hours if you worked at UMC and sunrise.let me know what you find out...

I don't think you could actually get that many hours at UMC. Many of the staff nurses at UMC choose to work 1 or 2 days overtime each week. Furthermore, UMC is usually the one hospital in the Las Vegas/Henderson area that has the fewest amount of openings for RN's. When an RN gets a job at UMC, they usually stay because the benefits and retirement are absolutely amazing -- none of the other hospitals (or any business for that matter) in the area come close to it.

Thanks guys, no I was just wanting to hear how much per diem work people out here actually do. I am not looking (yet) it was just merely out of curiosity to see what people are working.
