    Pa. health care job growth biggest in ambulatory, home health services

    Hospital job growth in Pennsylvania has slowed significantly since 2007 with stronger job gains now seen at outpatient and elder care facilities, the Hospital & Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania reported. From 2007 to October 2015, employment in ambulatory health care increased 18%, with the growth rate in home health services at 53%. The Morning Call (Allentown, Pa.)

    Not surprising seeing as how sick patents still are when they are discharged from the hospital. I see the trend only continuing.

    As a 1st semester student I'm always browsing jobs, so I know where the trends are when I graduate. While the majority of jobs for sure are in home health and LTC, in Northeast PA, there are still always hospital jobs, even for new grads. I dont think I have ever looked at the 3 major hospital health systems around me and NOT at least 5-10 RN jobs posted.
