Just watch everything you say and do - both with classmates and instructors......alot of backstabbing. School needs to be revamped - daylight is bad, but I heard evening is worse.

Hello, Dreamlady. Thanks for the advice, might I ask if you are a current Shadyside student?

I'm not worried about any of that stuff, but thanks for the input. I have been through a lot in my life and when/if i get into shadyside i am gonna go there do what i gotta do and leave. If its like you say it is when/if i go there this year then i will mind my own business and wont talk to anyone...EXCEPT NOELCHRISTINE :)

 Thanks Andy. I'm not too concerned about the backstabbing. There is some of that at the school I am currently, and I try to ignore it, but I have classmates that the instructor's attitudes/actions bother so much that it impedes with their studying. That's not me.

Just think, scores get mailed out next week!!

I know im kinda nervous but trying not to think to much about the scores, i just pray i make the minimum even if just barley.

Hi,

In regards to the post about the backstabbing in school. That is pretty harsh!! :angryfire While not everyone see eye to eye everyday we really are a TEAM. We work together and want every student to do well. When a student does not pass we feel the pain with them. Everyone in my class looks out for the other person. I can't speak for other classes but mine is a tight unit. The people I am with are all adult learners and most have families. We don't have time for the high school stuff.

Just my :twocents:

Jenn, I didn't think there was too much backstabbing going on. I have a friend in the day program and she doesn't complain about it.

I'm a student at Shadyside in the Evening Weekend program and this is my first year. I wouldn't say that there is backstabbing, but I would say that as an evening weekend person I do sometimes feel slighted. We don't have committees or represenatives and partys are usually when I'm at work. But then again I didn't come to party.

It's strict but good and I don't have anything to complain about educationally. I heard there was a big cheating fiasco in one of the other classes a while back but nothing that has effected my class thus far.

Best of Luck to all!

I just got into my first choice school, i cannot believe it i am in SHOCK!!!. I think i bombed on the PSB-RN exam anyway i had a freak out when i took it. I would have liked UPMC SHADYSIDE but i guess this is what was supposed to happen. GOOD LUCK NOEL I AM ROOTIN FOR YOU . WE can keep in contact through our nursing school journey.
